One of the most iconic structures that the city of Joy, Kolkata has is the Indian Museum. It was founded in the year of 1814 and is also known as the Imperial Museum at Calcutta. The founder curator of this museum was Nathaniel Wallich who was a Danish botanist. 

This Indian Museum is also the ninth oldest museum in the whole world and consists of a variety of collections including armors, ornaments, fossils, coins costumes, paintings, lifestyles, sculptures, skeletons, mummies, and more. The most famous attraction that people look forward to seeing is the 4000 years old Egyptian mummy that is thought to be a girl.  It has six sections which have more than thirty galleries of cultural and other artifacts.
