Whilst huffing and puffing up those switchbacks, I climbed 4600 meters above the sea-level to see the breathtaking turquoise lake, Laguna 69. Laguna 69 is set in an idyllic setting in Ancash region where Huascaran Mountain leaps out of the 30 snow capped peaks towering over 6000 meters which makes the region a paradise for hikers.
